Welcome to the FUTO AI Experience Center (“the Platform”, “Website”, “Community”), an initiative of the SATH Foundation, based in Lagos, Nigeria. By accessing, registering on, or using this website (https://aiexperience.sathng.com or any related subdomains), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before participating in any activity on the platform.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

1. Introduction

The FUTO AI Experience Center is a student-centered learning and innovation platform designed to foster community-driven education, AI literacy, and collaborative projects among students. The platform provides online and physical learning experiences, community engagement tools, events, and gamified participation rewards.

These Terms govern your use of the Website, including all services, materials, and features made available through it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a registered student or lecturer of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri or a recognized community member to participate. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you meet the eligibility requirements.

3. User Registration and Accounts

To access certain features, you must create a user account by providing accurate personal and institutional details. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login details;
Ensuring that all information remains true and updated;
Reporting any unauthorized use of your account immediately.

FUTO AI Experience Center reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of these Terms.

4. Mandatory Joining of a Project Group for Members

All registered members are required to join at least one active project group within the community.

Project groups encourage peer learning, practical application of AI concepts, and collaboration.
Members must actively contribute to their group’s discussions and activities.
Inactivity in a project group for more than 30 days without notice may result in temporary account suspension.

5. Booking Physical Visits to the Center

Members who wish to visit the FUTO AI Experience Center’s physical facility in Lagos must book their visit in advance through the website’s “Visit Center” section.

Visits are subject to availability and prior approval.
Visitors must adhere to the Center’s code of conduct, safety regulations, and dress code.
Unauthorized visits are strictly prohibited.

6. Connecting with Other Members

The Platform enables students and professionals to connect through private messaging, forums, and discussion channels.

Members are encouraged to network respectfully and collaboratively.
Spamming, solicitation, or harassment of other members is strictly forbidden.
Violations may lead to suspension or permanent removal from the community.

7. Rules of Engagement with Other Members

To maintain a positive and inclusive environment, members must follow these engagement principles:

Show respect, tolerance, and professionalism at all times.
Avoid hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or offensive content.
Refrain from sharing false information or impersonating others.
Any misconduct may be reported to the community moderators or admin team.

8. Registration for Virtual and In-Person Events

Members may register for workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, and other events through the platform.

Event participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some events may require registration fees or verification.
No-shows for in-person events without prior cancellation may affect your future eligibility.

9. Participation in Monthly Virtual Webinars

All active members are required to attend at least one virtual webinar per month, hosted by the FUTO AI Experience Center.

Attendance contributes to your learning progress record and gamify points.
Recordings may be made available for those unable to attend live sessions.
Persistent non-participation may result in loss of certain member privileges.

10. Gamify Points

The Platform uses a gamification system to encourage learning and participation. Members earn points for:

Completing learning modules;
Attending webinars and events;
Contributing to project groups;
Referring new members.

11. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, graphics, videos, and software, is the property of SATH Foundation or its licensors.

Users may access and use materials for educational and personal purposes only.
You may not copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.
User-generated content (e.g., forum posts, project submissions) remains owned by the user but grants the Platform a non-exclusive license to display or share it for community purposes.

12. Usage of Third-Party Apps, Websites, or Links

The Platform may include links to third-party websites, tools, or apps (e.g., Zoom, Discord, Google Workspace).

These are provided for convenience and educational purposes only.
FUTO AI Experience Center does not control or endorse these third-party services.
Your interaction with any external platform is subject to its own privacy and terms of use policies.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
By using this Website, you consent to our data collection, usage, and storage practices.

14. Code of Conduct

Members must:

Use the platform responsibly and ethically;
Avoid posting harmful or illegal content;
Not misuse or attempt to breach the website’s security.

Violations may lead to disciplinary actions including warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.
